Well, thanks to the interesting and talented Reid over at 'Ono Kine Grindz, I got tagged to participate in a music meme. I found this to be really, really difficult, so I put it off for a bit. It didn't seem to be getting any easier over time, though, so here are my answers:
What is the total amount of music files on your computer?
We currently have 3,664 songs (21.75GB), which is about a third of our collection.
The CD you last bought?
Stephane Grappelli - The Collection
What is the song you last listed to before reading this message?
Gladys Knight & The Pips/Midnight Train to Georgia
Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you.
1. Chet Baker - Imagination
2. Cocteau Twins - I Wear Your Ring
3. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - White Sandy Beach
4. Bjork - Joga
5. Billy Paul - Me and Mrs. Jones
Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?
1. Rowena at Rubber Slippers in Italy, because I'm interested to see what this island girl living in Europe will pick.
2. Dawn at My Life With Garlic, because I want to know what a fellow displaced New Englander thinks is wicked cool.
3. Jen at Prepare to Meet Your Bakerina, because she will be horrified to get this, but I'm hoping she'll step up to the plate and share anyway.
Edited @ 8:48 p.m.:
Arrgh...Dawn has already been tagged for this! So, I'm going to pick Giao at GnomeG, because she is lovely and sweet and very talented, and I'd love to know what she listens to while she's creating!
Moira, I was already tagged. Let me see if I can remember some of it. The last song I had listened to was Ray Charles' Hit the Road Jack(I had just seen the movie). Top 5 songs of meaning;Paul McCarthy's Baby I'm Amazed(me & my man's song), Imagine by John Lennon because he was like a God in my house. We stayed home from school the day he was killed & played that song over & over. I know that the Doors were on the list & Motown songs. My parents went to Woodstock so that music was a big part of my childhood. They also listened to DJ Wolfman Jack's radio show every Friday night, hence the Motown influence. I often tell people that I was born during the wrong era. I should have been a teen in the sixties Summer of Love.

Arrggh! Well, thanks for letting me know what your answer were anyway! I'm going to edit the post and choose another (hopefully) unsuspecting victim now...

Moira! Thanks for tagging me! Unfortunately, I was the one who tagged Dawn! My post is here: http://www.xanga.com/item.aspx?user=gnomeG&tab=weblogs&uid=196744242
Love Midnight Train to Georgia & The Cocteau Twins. I like your eclectic tastes. :)

Moira, I've already been tagged, but hey! I'm game for another round!

2. Gypsy Kings and Peter Gabriel Greatest Hits
3. I can give you the last CD--Flavors of Jazz
4. This one is difficult, but for the sake of my wacky humor I'll put up comes first to my head.
1.How much is that doggie in the window?
2.That's Amore!--Dean Martin
3.Lady Marmalade
4.Is it a crime?--Sade
5.Sweetest Goodbye--Maroon5

That's it! I give up! I really am the very last wallflower at the dance. Well, thanks for playing along anyway- I found the answer/list for 4th question almost impossible to narrow down as well.
What's going on with your puff pastry experiments?
Posted by: Moira | February 09, 2005 at 03:47 AM
Raaffff! Yesterday the water was shut down (I didn't know it was going to happen), and all plans to experiment in the kitchen came to a halt. I was grinding some cardamom pods and went to wash my hands...doh! No acqua! The smell of ground cardamom can be quite overwhelming to say the least...
Now today I can't log into my email account, I can't log into my blog, but I can hop around and abuse other people's comment section... :-P Anyhoo, atleast there is water today! (I shouldn't speak so fast huh?)
p.s. The puff pastry experiment needs just some tweaking...I can't wait to post tomorrow! *crosses fingers*

Now, Moira, dear, I'm not at all horrified. I'm more than happy to share...once I get out of the office and/or the library and back to the kitchen. 'Struth!

Oh, Rowena- I'm sorry to hear about your water and web troubles. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you've come up with for SHF5, though!
Hi Ms. Bakerina,
I'm glad you're game...I was starting to get a complex!
Cheers,
